Device Setup Steps
- Connect the device via Ethernet to the network.
- Power on the device and wait for 5 seconds. The device is temporarily enabling DHCP to be assigned an available IP address.
- Open a web browser and enter the last 6 digits of the MAC address/serial number of the device followed by .local/setup.html.
(ex. 105632.local/setup.html) - Assign a permanent IP address to the device.
The device can now be accessed at the assigned IP address, with the setup page found at ipaddress/setup.html.

Basic Setup Steps (with DHCP)
- Connect X-600M to local network using an Ethernet Cable.
- AFTER the network is connected, apply power.
- Wait about 10 seconds and enter into the address bar of your browser: http://x600.local/setup.html
- Enter the username (admin) and password (webrelay).
- Click on the Network setup pages and change the IP address to the desired setting.
Basic Setup Steps (without DHCP)
- Power the module and connect to network.
- Set IP address on computer to be on the same network as the module. (Example: Set computer to 192.168.1.50)
- To configure the module, open a web browser and enter: http://192.168.1.2/setup.html
- Assign permanent IP address to module, then restart module.
- Restore computer’s IP address, if necessary, and access the module at its new IP address to finish setup.

Device Setup Steps
- Power the module and tap the “Network Setup” tab on the right of the touch screen. (Tap the screen if it’s not visible)
- Tap either Ethernet Settings or Wireless Settings.
Ethernet – Enable DHCP.
Wireless – Enable Wireless. Select your network and security. Enter the password, then enable DHCP.
OR
Assign the module a static IP address. (Disable DHCP to see the blue “IP” box and network information) Tap a box to expand it, then enter the desired network information. - Tap the “Back” button, then tap Reboot.
- Tap the “Info” tab to see the IP address. (ex. 192.168.1.5)

- Connect the module to power (Two AA batteries or 5VDC).
- On a computer, scan for open Wi-Fi networks & connect to the SSID: XW112-[Last six digits of Serial Number]
- If no Wi-Fi network is found called XW112-[Last six digits of Serial Number], remove the front cover and press the ‘Access Point’ button for 2 seconds.
- Once connected, open a web browser and enter: http://192.168.1.2/setup.html
- Enter local Wi-Fi network settings and power cycle the module. (You can also establish communications using WPS. See user’s manual.)
- The module will now attempt to connect to the specified Wi-Fi network.
- Reconnect computer to Wi-Fi network and access the module through the Wi-Fi network to finish setup.

Installation Instructions
Mounting Clip Installation – Slide the mounting clip onto the body of the sensor. Insert two screws through the mounting holes and into the surface you are mounting against.
Thru-Wall Mounting Bracket Installation – Drill a 5/8″ hole through the wall, duct, etc. that you would like to monitor, and secure the mounting bracket with two screws.
Insert the temperature probe into the mounting clip and tighten the mounting bracket collar with the existing screw.

Installation Instructions
Wiring – Before mounting the enclosure to the wall, remove the cover from the enclosure. Thread the appropriate wire through the opening in the back, and connect each wire lead (Data, Gnd, and +5V In).
Wall Mounting – With the enclosure cover still open, mount the enclosure to the wall with two small screws in the provided screw holes in the enclosure. Once mounted, re-attach the enclosure cover.

Installation Instructions
Install the X-TC1W-K – Install the X-TC1W-K in a protected location away from rain and direct sunlight. The internal cold junction compensation will be more accurate if the X-TC1W-K is protected from rapid temperature changes.
Thermocouple Sensor – Connect the thermocouple sensor into the positve (+) and negative (-) terminals.
1-Wire Connections – The adapter has three wires which are connected to a compatible ControlByWeb device. The cable can be extended with additional wire, if needed.

The ControlByWeb Cloud makes monitoring and controlling remote devices much easier. You can add as many I/O devices as you need by purchasing Device Seats, and each device can have various end points such as sensors, switches, or other ControlByWeb modules attached at no additional cost. You can use a few cloud compatible devices to connect many end points which provide centralized monitoring of vast networks of sensor.

Create an Account
- Go to: ControlByWeb.cloud
- Click ‘Create Account’ located below the login button.
- Enter a username, first and last name, email, company name (optional), and password.
- Click the Terms and Conditions link to read and agree.
- Click ‘Create Account’.
- Check your inbox for an email verification and click on the ‘Verify Email Address’ link. This will redirect you to the login page.
- Log in with your username and password.
Adding Device Seats
- Purchase your device seats at ControlByWeb.com/cloud/
- Once purchased, an email will be sent with your ‘Device Seat Code’. Write down or copy the code.
- Log into your cloud account at ControlByWeb.cloud
- Click on your name in the top-right corner of the browser window and select the ‘Register Device Seat Codes’ menu option.
- Type or paste the Device Seat Code into the form and click ‘Submit’.
- You will be redirected to the Summary page where you can see that your device seat has been added.
Add Ethernet/WiFi Devices
- Log into your cloud account at ControlByWeb.cloud
- Click on ‘Devices’ in the left-hand navigation panel.
- Click the ‘New Device +’ button in the top-right corner of the ‘Device List’ table.
- On the New Device page, you have two tabs: Device or Cell Device.
- Ensure the ‘Device’ tab is highlighted blue.
- Click the ‘Generate Token +’ in the top-right corner of the table.
- A token will appear in the table. Highlight and copy the token.
- In a separate browser tab or window, visit the device’s setup page by typing its IP address followed by setup.html (For more information on accessing your device’s IP address and setup pages, see the device’s quick start guide and/or users manual, available for download at: ControlByWeb.com/support)
- On the device’s setup page, click ‘General Settings’ in the left-hand navigation panel to expand that section and select ‘Advanced Network’.
- Enable Remote Services by clicking ‘Yes’ under the Remote Services section and ensure the Version drop-down selection is ‘2.0’.
- Under the Certificate Request Method drop-down, select ‘Certificate Request Token’ and paste the token you generated in the Certificate Request Token field.
- Click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of the page.
- Navigate back to your cloud account and select ‘Devices’ from the left-hand navigation panel.
- Your device will appear on the Devices page as long as your Internet connection is stable.
- You can now access the device’s Control and Setup pages.
Add & Activate Cellular Devices
- Log into your cloud account at ControlByWeb.cloud
- Click on ‘Devices’ in the left-hand navigation panel.
- Click the ‘New Device +’ button in the top-right corner of the device table.
- On the New Device page, you have two tabs: Device or Cell Device.
- Ensure the ‘Cell Device’ tab is highlighted blue.
- Enter a device name. Enter the last 6 digits of the Serial Number and the full Cell ID found on the side of your ControlByWeb cellular device.
- Enter the data plan found in your purchase confirmation email. Activate the plan if required.
- Activation may take 15 minutes. Click ‘Check SIM Status’ or refer to the Summary page to verify activation status.
- Once activated, power on the cell device for the first time. It will connect to your cloud account automatically.
- You can now access the device’s Control and Setup pages.
