Here we are inside the X-600M’s firmware. You can access the device’s firmware by using the IP address that is assigned to the unit, /setup.html. By default, the device is set to

When you’re inside the System Overview page on the X-600M, you can view the firmware, the serial number, the system time, internal temperature, and the onboard memory of the unit. It should be noted that as you make changes to the X-600M, there’s going to be a submit button at the bottom of each page which will store the settings into a temporary database. Changes are not used by the X-600M or permanently saved until you click commit changes in the upper right hand corner. You can submit multiple pages before you commit all of your changes. If you want to abandon all of your changes, you can click the abandoned changes button in the top right hand corner. Next, we can come and click on the System tab, and we can click on user accounts. User accounts is where we can add specific usernames and passwords for users on the X-600M. We can do that by clicking the right hand corner, the add new user button. Here, this will display a new window where we can enter in the full name, the email address, the username, and password.

Next, we can come to Date and Time. Here, we can set the time manually or we can have the X-600M sync up with an NTP server to get its time.

Next, we can come to the Backup and Restore tab. This is a useful tab, so you can export all the settings that you’ve uploaded onto the X-600M. You will be able to export those into a file and save that for a later time, whether you want to create a new X-600M and use the same settings, or if you need to do a factory reset of the X-600M, you can import those same settings back in so you don’t lose all that hard work. It should be noted that the settings file does not include SSL certificates, so you’ll need to go to the next tab and re-upload those if you plan on using SSL certificates. You can come in and do that here you can generate a new certificate. Or you can come in and you can add an existing certificate to the X-600M.

The X-600M also supports custom web pages. So, if you have any web pages that you want to upload on the X-600M, you can do that here. Same with plugins. If you have any plugins that you would like to upload on the X-600M, you can add those files here. Last under the System tab is the System Log. This is important for you to diagnose any errors that may be happening within the X-600M. The X-600M will continue to update this and you can go and access and see any network issues that may be happening, or even email issues as well.
